Printing Technology

UV Printing: MOQ of 500 per bag size and design. Best suited for Kraft and Plastic bags. Solid colours and a minimalist design will ensure the best possible outcome. Design is restricted to the front and back of the bag and has to stay within specific demarcated areas on the bag. Number of colours play no role in pricing. Indicative pricing: ZAR8.50 for a 250g and ZAR12.00 for a 1Kg (Ex Vat). Costing will be firmed up once designs are reviewed. Lead-time 60 days.

Digital printing: MOQ of 2000 per bag size and design. All bags can be printed with this method and there are no design restrictions. Number of colours play no role in pricing. Indicative pricing:  ZAR13.00 per 250g and ZAR21.00 for a 1Kg (Ex Vat). Costing will be firmed up once designs are reviewed. Lead-time 50 days.       

Gravure printing: MOQ of 5 000 with 10 000 bags the most cost effective. All bags can be printed on with this method and there are no design restrictions. The shape of the bag can be changed to suite your design vision. Number of colours will affect the pricing as it is a printing plate per colour. Costing will be done once designs have been reviewed and number of colours and plates determined. Lead-time 60 days.

Design Considerations:

Bag type:  Flat Bottom, Side Gusset, Stand Up and Quad Seal.

Material Type: Plastic, Kraft, Recyclable, Compostable, Rice Paper.

Closure Type: Pocket Zip, Top Zip, Tin Tie.

One way valve: Valve position with UV Printing is fixed. With digital and gravure printing, the valve position can be moved around to suite the design.

Bag Finish: Full Matte, Full Gloss, Rough Matte, Soft Touch.

Special Effects: Spot Gloss with Matte, Spot Gloss with Rough Matte, Hot Stamping, Embossing, Debossing, Card Slit.
